Roanoke, VA (1888PressRelease) November 22, 2011 - Shoppers looking for deals on gifts from local businesses won't want to miss a special 10-hour event, Deal Dash Monday, featuring more than 30 deals from restaurants, salons, services and retailers in the Roanoke and New River valleys.

This first-time online shopping event, hosted by roanoke.com Daily Deal, takes place on Cyber Monday, November 28, offering new deals every hour beginning at 7 a.m.

"With a diverse group of deals - from donuts to spa services - there will be something for everyone on your list," said Kathy Myrman, Daily Deal Product Manager for The Roanoke Times and roanoke.com. "It's a great way to shop local and get all your gift-buying done early."

Here's how Deal Dash will work:
• Each hour, beginning at 7 a.m., three or more new deals will be featured on dailydeal.roanoke.com. Customers will have an hour to purchase those deals, and then new ones will go live.
• Each deal will feature a gift certificate from local businesses at a savings of 50% or better.
• Each deal is limited to one per customer, but customers can purchase one deal from each business.

Those who "like" the roanoke.com Daily Deal facebook page will receive a sneak peek at the deals at noon on Sunday, November 27 so they can plan their shopping for Monday.
