CVS to Offer Free Health Screenings At Third Annual CVS Cares Community Health Fair
Health screenings promoting healthy active lifestyles and benefitting organizations.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2010 - On Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, CVS Pharmacy will host its third annual CVS Cares Community Health Fair at the CVS Pharmacy located at 2200 Coit Rd. in Plano (corner of W. Park Blvd and Coit Rd). This event, sponsored by CVS/Pharmacy District 68-10, CityStream Live Entertainment and Marketing, Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, and the Urban League Greater Dallas Young Professionals, offers attendees the opportunity to receive free screenings in the areas of blood pressure, dental, vision, speech and hearing, among others.
In addition, Methodist Health System will be administering free prostate screenings, Carter Blood Care will be conducting a blood drive, and Baylor Health Care System will be soliciting prospective blood marrow donors to join the Be The Match® Registry. Other participating partners are Lifescan, Inc., Lifetime Fitness-Legacy, Pearle Vision, Susan G. Komen North Texas Affiliate, and many more.
While the focus of this event is on promoting healthy lifestyles, CVS will also provide a bounce house, face painting, games and give-a-ways to promote participation from the entire family. "I am excited to be hosting this event and use my voice in helping the community" said Liberty Madison, film producer and actress.
"The CVS Cares Community Health Fair is an awesome way to gain information on living healthier," notes Jennifer N., District Administrative Assistant/Pharmacist Scheduler. "I have been the last two years and wouldn't miss it for the world. The kids had a blast too!"
