  • Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2014 - Christa Petti has been promoted to senior research analyst, announced Kim Brennan, Cushman & Wakefield's New Jersey market leader. She joined the commercial real estate services firm in 2011 and had been serving as a research analyst.

"With the promotion, Christa will be taking a supervisory role with any new hires in the Tri-state Suburban Research Group," said Brennan. "She will also be taking on an expanded analytical role in the group's activities."

As part of the research services group, Petti has been conducting primary research, data-driven analysis and forecasting for the office and industrial sectors of Northern and Central New Jersey, a market with approximately 800 million square feet of commercial properties. She also leads Northeast research activities for Cushman & Wakefield's Data Center Advisory Group, and is a contributor to the firm's award-winning MarketBeat publication.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Petti earned a dual Master's degree in public policy and city and regional planning from Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Her education included extensive research projects, and in 2010 she was part of a group that developed a comprehensive sustainability plan for West Cape May, N.J., a project that won an Achievement in Planning Award from The New Jersey Planning Officials, a trade group.

Petti is an active member of the Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL) program, which focuses on continuing education, collaboration, communication and community service throughout the Americas. Last summer, she was one of six researchers at the firm to present at the national CWFL Conference in the Bahamas.

Last fall, in her CWFL role, Petti spearheaded a fund-raising effort for Habitat for Humanity and organized two build days during which 32 Cushman & Wakefield employees volunteered to frame a home. She also leads a week of trips for Habitat for Humanity for high school and college students every summer. For her efforts on behalf of Habitat for Humanity, Petti became the first recipient of the Community Award for Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, as selected by the firm's leadership council.

"Cushman & Wakefield provides me with countless opportunities to continue growing professionally, and I look forward to the new prospects that working as a senior research analyst will offer both to me and to the firm," said Petti. "Working with Jason Price, the research director for the suburban market, and with Kim Brennan, has been instrumental in my achieving professional success."
