Cushman & Wakefield Inks Mainetti U.S. HQ Lease in Keasbey, N.J.
World's Largest Hanger Manufacturer Relocates, Expands to 110,000 Sq. Ft.
- Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon, NJ (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2013 - Mainetti, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of garment hangers, has relocated its United States headquarters to 110,000 square feet at 300 Mac Lane in Keasbey, announced Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. The company relocated to its new space from Secaucus, N.J., in an expansion move.
Cushman & Wakefield's Andrew Stypa and Daniel Badenhausen, based in the commercial real estate services firm's Edison office, brokered the long-term transaction. Federal Business Centers owns the warehouse/distribution building at 300 Mac Lane.
Founded in 1961, Mainetti is an Italian company with roots in countries around the globe. The company supplies hangers to hundreds of major garment manufacturers. In the United States, its Mainetti Hanger Store services the consumer population as well.
"Our client initially wanted to remain in Secaucus, in order to ensure a smooth transition for its employee base," Stypa noted. "After exploring the Meadowlands market, we expanded the search slightly south to the Exit 10 marketplace. The Mac Lane property presented a truly turnkey opportunity with the added benefit of a flexible and cooperative landlord."
The building already was fit out with 8,000 square feet of office space and provided room to incorporate a new sorting area for recycling hangers. "The space is perfect and projects a great image," Badenhausen added. "Even more importantly, the building has excellent roadway access, which provides an easy commute for Mainetti's employees."
