- Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon, NJ (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2011 - Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. announced today that a seasoned, five-person office brokerage team headed by Paul Giannone has joined the company's Edison office. The new hires, who are transitioning to Cushman & Wakefield from Jones Lang LaSalle, include Giannone, executive vice president, of Ocean Twp., N.J.; Paul Hindes, executive director, of Westfield, N.J.; Kevin Carton, senior director, of Brielle, N.J.; Todd Elfand, senior director, of Branchburg, N.J.; and Charles Cavallo, associate director, of Hamilton, N.J.
With many years of commercial real estate experience, the team specializes in office leasing, serving institutional, development and corporate clients. Its members have completed billions of dollars worth of lease and sale transactions, and have established an impressive resume representing major corporations for both advisory and brokerage services. Additionally, leading owners Boston Properties, M. Alfieri, Atlantic Realty Development and Vision Equities are among those that have tapped the group for leasing agency assignments.
"Cushman & Wakefield has one of the best brands in the country, if not the world," Giannone said. "This is a great opportunity for us to both take advantage of and contribute to that distinction. And while our team has completed transactions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, our concentration always has been in Central New Jersey, which makes our joining the Edison operation a natural fit. We look forward to working toward increasing the firm's regional presence and market coverage."
Among the team members' many individual qualifications, Giannone is a certified commercial investment manager, Hindes is a certified public accountant, and Carton is a former real estate appraiser.
"This well-respected team's market expertise and unusual combination of technical and tactical experience enable it to service clients with a broad array of disciplines," noted Gualberto "Gil" Medina, Cushman & Wakefield's New Jersey executive managing director. "The addition of Paul, Paul, Kevin, Todd and Charles will strengthen our regional capabilities significantly and be of great benefit to our valued clients."
Joseph Harbert, Cushman & Wakefield's chief operating officer, New York Metropolitan Region, agreed. "Bringing this group into our organization represents one of Cushman & Wakefield's most strategic regional hires in recent history," he said. "The Garden State real estate market is among the country's foremost corporate hubs. As the rebound takes hold, we are making it a priority to maximize our talent in key growth areas - with Central New Jersey a high priority among them."
