Cushman & Wakefield Arranges 42,768 Sq. Ft. of Leases for BART Contractor
Warm Springs Constructors Expands with two new Bay Area Locations.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) July 25, 2012 - Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. has arranged two leases totaling 42,768 square feet for Warm Springs Constructors, Inc., a Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. joint venture. Warm Springs Constructors was represented in both signings by Walter Stephenson of Cushman & Wakefield's Silicon Valley office; Mitchell Hertz, Matt Bracco, Christopher Burns and Joshua Nelson of the firm's Walnut Creek office; and Glen Dowling of the San Rafael office.
Warm Springs Constructors is the general contractor for the 5.4-mile Warm Springs Extension of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system, aimed at easing traffic congestion in California's East Bay area.
The new leases include 28,800 square feet of industrial space at 45401 Research Avenue in Fremont, a 107,000-square-foot asset owned by Workspace, LLC. The second lease is for 13,968 square feet of office space at the nearby 47212 Mission Falls Court in Fremont, a 43,000-square-foot building owned by East Warren Park, LLC.
"Warm Springs Constructors initially sought to house both the industrial and office functions at one location," said Hertz. "But after looking at the options in the market, it was determined that it would be better, from an economic standpoint, to split the operations and take two
different locations."
