Curves Is Not For Sissies...And We Can Prove It

Curves of Tampa Bay plan unique "No Limits" events for September. End Quote

Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2012 - Ordinarily, you may not see them as you go about your daily business - Curves members, that is - but this September you may see them plenty - and doing things you'd least expect. Jumping out of airplanes, kayaking on local waterways, biking on the Trail, walking for charities, or dancing their hearts out.

These are just some of the adventures that Curves members participate in during Curves' annual Not For Sissies celebration and every day. Beginning September 3 through September 18, Curves members will be demonstrating the strength they've gained at Curves, proving they have no limits!

And to help them prove it, Curves throughout Tampa Bay will host various events, with special events featured during the week of September 17 through September 30. Some Curves will host Open Houses, some are planning fun Curves Triathlons, and some are planning other special events. Non-members will be welcome to attend many of these events to see that Curves truly is Not for Sissies.

"Not For Sissies is such a fun event for us each year," said Debbie Daharsh, owner of Clearwater Curves. "Our members love to get out into the community and do things they've never done, whether it's something really adventurous like zip-lining or hiking, or something more sedate like volunteering on a homebuilding project or gardening. What feeling strong and having no limits means to each one of us is such a personal thing, and Not For Sissies is about challenging yourself rather than comparing yourself to others. It's very empowering." Debbie is a true inspiration to her members and kicked off Not For Sissies at the Clearwater Curves with her first ever sky-diving adventure this past weekend.

In addition to individual challenges that Curves members will be pledging to do, many of the Curves will be organizing group "No Limits" events during this special week.
