Curtis Fritsch Joins The AlphaDogs Pack As Assistant Audio Mixer
Having worked his way from intern to freelance to full-time staff in seven short months, Curtis Fritsch joins the AlphaDogs pack as a full-time assistant audio mixer.
- (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2012 - Burbank based AlphaDogs Post Production has hired Curtis Fritsch as Assistant Audio Mixer to their team of in-house talent. After working as an intern and moving up to a freelance position at the company in just seven months, he now joins the AlphaDogs team full-time.
Fritsch began working as an intern at AlphaDogs while juggling two other jobs until he could find a job position in the industry as a full-time Audio Mixer. AlphaDogs has been providing internships with real world experience since they first opened in 2002. Facility General Manager Paul DeCham comments, "It's very rewarding to watch someone begin as an intern and work hard to become a valuable addition to our talented team of artists here at AlphaDogs.. Curtis proves to be a strong resource when it comes to audio and is also learning the ropes on the video side as well."
Before joining AlphaDogs full-time, Fritsch worked implementing sound design and mixing audio for Home Depot and Yahoo, as well as various non-profit projects. "I realized the only way I could get the experience I would need to become a full-time Audio Mixer was to get connected with a good company that would be willing to give me more hands-on experience," said Fritsch. "It was tough working two jobs while interning, but the knowledge I gained from the people I worked with made it more than worth it. I'm grateful for the opportunity AlphaDogs has given me and look forward to learning more about all aspects of the post-production process."
In his new role, Fritsch is involved in mixing audio for documentaries, film, and reality television shows. Most recently he completed the audio mix for The Bronx Boys-Still Playing at 80, a documentary about fifteen childhood friends who reunite for their 80th birthdays. Clients appreciate Fritch's sensible methods in making audio post-production a little less complicated and in providing resourceful solutions. Fritsch comments, "Mixing audio is a collaborative process and I work to create an environment for the client that's both creative and fun. My goal is to meet or exceed their expectations in achieving a better sounding project, while making it enjoyable for them at the same time."
Fritsch graduated from the Conservatory Of Recording Arts And Sciences receiving the Master Recording Program Certificate, where he also served as the Audio Engineering Society Chapter President.
