Curious George first started life as a series of children's books in 1941 which later became a series of animated TV films, a video game and then a full length feature film in 2006 (starring the voices of Drew Barrymore and Will Ferrell). The story features Ted, a museum guide who travels to Africa in an attempt to obtain a huge ancient ruin which is under threat from demolition, which could save his struggling museum. Instead, Ted brings back a mischievous, childlike monkey who inadvertently causes all kinds of trouble for him.
A new TV series of Curious George, due be broadcast on ITV, will see Curious George return with another set of adventures, narrated by primetime Emmy Award winner William H. Macy (Seabiscuit, Pleasantville).
