Curas, Inc. Growth Pattern Continues with Expansion of Support Team
Curas, Inc., a St. Louis-based health care IT firm specializing in eClinicalWorks, continues to grow its team with the addition of Support Specialists and the appointment of the company's first Director of eClinicalWorks Training.
- St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) April 01, 2015 - The recent additions bring Curas' total team count to 24 employees, up from 14 in 2010.
Assuming the role of Director of eClinicalWorks Training, Debby Macikowski has spent over 20 years in health care, experiencing technology from both the practice and the software provider perspectives. Since 2004, she served as an eClinicalWorks Senior Trainer and Project Manager for a solutions provider in Georgia. She holds a number of certifications, including Patient Centered Medical Home and Gold Partner eClinicalWorks Certification, among others.
Jason Stange and Kristen Coleman have joined the Curas support team as Support Specialists, working with Curas clients to provide technical expertise for day-to-day system operation, and to help them maximize their use of eClinicalWorks through custom reporting and optimization of their electronic health records system. Both bring a wealth of technical expertise and customer service skill to the team.
"As Curas has continued to grow over the last several years, we've recognized the need to not only expand our support services on a regular basis, but to also add a team member whose sole responsibility would be management of our training," said Num Pisutha-Arnond, Managing Partner. "Jason and Kristen will help to add greater depth and capacity for our technical support, allowing the entire team to provide clients with quick response times and expertise. Debby will lend her 20-plus years of experience to further shape Curas training programs, which include both customized training as well as the creation of new reference materials for our clients' convenience. This will further solidify Curas' position as the go-to resource for support, implementation and training."
Since its founding in 2004, Curas has implemented eClinicalWorks for over 700 physicians in nearly 30 states. The firm has been named among the top resellers of eClinicalWorks several years in a row, and has been named to both the Inc. 5000 and St. Louis Business Journal lists of the fastest growing companies. While past growth has been mainly fueled by practices implementing electronic health records for the first time, Pisutha-Arnond reports that today, Curas is growing due to the large numbers of practices switching their EHR from another software to eClinicalWorks, or optimizing their use of eClinicalWorks to best leverage the system to better manage patient populations and the business behind the practice.
"It's been reported that approximately 25% of practices will switch their EHR," said Pisutha-Arnond. "They either realized what they implemented isn't working for them, their software is changing or being sunsetted. We're helping many practices switch to eClinicalWorks, creating workflows, migrating data, and managing the implementation process. We also see that clients on eClinicalWorks are looking to optimize their EHR, creating custom reports and processes to help them deliver better care and be more profitable - things that are key in today's ever-changing healthcare environment."
