Cult Legend Shuggie Otis Announces North American Tour
The legend of Shuggie Otis continues,the psychedelic soul master is hitting the road for his first North American Tour.
- (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2015 - The man responsible for The Brothers Johnson's 1977 pop hit "Strawberry Letter 23″,named top 100 guitarists of all time and who has slung his guitar for acts like Etta James,Charles Brown, Frank Zappa, Mos Def, and his own father Johnny Otis, has announced a tour across the North America.
Generations have been musically inspired by Shuggie and even hits like Outkast's "Ms. Jackson," Beyonce's "Gift From Virgo," and Digable Planets' "For Corners," among others, have sampled from him.This will be the first tour since his 2012 Shuggie Otis Rite Tour where he played Europe,and select North American cities.
