CTWO Products AB, a leading provider of portable data encryption solutions, today announces a new hybrid model for encrypted USB security, replacing legacy onsite and cloud management solutions.
- (1888PressRelease) February 13, 2016 - The Safexs Protector range is the first range that is built around a hybrid model, these devices take the flexibility of an unmanaged solution and integrates security and productivity features directly within the on-board security software, mitigating the need for installing, configuring and maintaining a costly management system.
"Traditionally there have been two types of secure USB drives in the market, unmanaged and managed devices, Safexs has been both during it's current lifecycle. What we decided to do with the Protector range, is to take the most used management features such as; Password Reset and Remote Disable and integrate them directly into the drives themself". said James Baker, VP of Sales & Marketing, CTWO Products AB.
The technology that is built into all Safexs Protector drives allows a user or admin to configure settings directly on-board the device, providing quick and instant protection against the potential loss of data. All devices support the new Password Rescue Service which is a free and secure password reset feature, and they also come with built-in ClevX DriveSecurityTM powered by award winning NOD32 ESET Antivirus engine, computer protection and the ability to set the device to securely wipe on a given date and time, in case the device becomes lost or stolen.

The Safexs Protector range is now available in two hardware versions and a software installer application is also available for older drives.
