CRYO CONTROL's cold-hydrotherapy excellence goes to FIBO 2013
CRYO CONTROL is a world leader in the cold-hydrotherapy market. The company designs and manufactures regulated, portable cold-water baths for one or more persons, as well as fixed cold spas.
- (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2013 - These hydrotherapy products are designed to improve the post-training physical recovery of top athletes. The company will showcase its product range and technology at the FIBO trade show in Cologne (Germany) between 11 and 14 April 2013.
CRYO CONTROL is a French-based company that designs and manufactures regulated cold-water baths for improving the physical recovery of top athletes. The company has become a world leader and pioneer in the cold-hydrotherapy market, focusing on cryotherapy, i.e. the use of low temperatures for medical purposes.
Bertrand Avignon, Manager of CRYO CONTROL, explains, "We are keen to consolidate CRYO CONTROL's international expansion by taking part in the FIBO trade show in Germany. This will also give us the opportunity to continue our search for agents across Europe."
FIBO is a trade fair of reference devoted to fitness, leisure and sport; it takes place in Cologne (Western Germany) from 11 to 14 April 2013. CRYO CONTROL will exhibit its products and technology on Stand 7/B36 at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre.
In 2012, CRYO CONTROL developed CRYO CONTROL FORM, the first fixed cold spa, in order to meet the growing needs of sports rehabilitation and fitness centres. The CRYO CONTROL FORM was immediately adopted by one of Europe's leading sports rehabilitation centres - the Centre Européen de Rééducation réservé aux Sportifs (or CERS, the European Centre for Sports Rehabilitation) located in Capbreton (South-Western France). CRYO CONTROL FORM has since become one of the most popular recovery systems for sports people.
The company also offers a comprehensive range of portable baths that are suitable for sporting events and competitions. It is possible to regulate the temperature of these baths to between 7°C and 15°C, therefore providing optimal cryotherapeutic care.
The portable systems are designed in three standard sizes - for one, four, or eight users - and each installation includes a closed-circuit system for water disinfection. On request, the baths can also be equipped with eight water jets and a chromotherapy function. (Chromotherapy, or colour therapy, uses the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation as a form of complementary medicine.)
CRYO CONTROL has various prestigious sports clients across France, including sports federations, elite sports clubs, and organisers of national competitions. The company is also well-known on the international stage thanks to having provided a regulated Ice Bath Area in the polyclinic of the Olympic Village (in London), during the London 2012 Olympic Games (UK). This area gave members of the general public the opportunity to discover cryotherapy for the first time.
The specialist company also provided its services for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (in China) and the 2010 European Athletics Championships held in Barcelona (in Spain).
Cold-hydrotherapy treatment has existed since Antiquity, with cold baths being perceived to be both a luxury and a necessity for relaxation. Over time, scientists have demonstrated the beneficial effects of cold water on the body when controlled at the optimum temperature.
CRYO CONTROL's products are modern versions of the cold baths of ancient times. The company's range helps the physical recovery of elite athletes, as well as, more generally, being an ideal solution for regenerating the body, relieving pain, draining toxins, and promoting relaxation.
