Crescenta Valley Insurance Sponsors Glendale Police K9 Program
The Glendale Police Foundation, the Glendale K-9 Unit, the Glendale City Clerk and Community Services and Parks are presenting a family-oriented, dog-friendly and fun-filled event with entertainment.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2011 - The Glendale Police Foundation, the Glendale K-9 Unit, the Glendale City Clerk and Community Services and Parks are presenting a family-oriented, dog-friendly and fun-filled event with entertainment, a pet adoption fair, pet costume and speed contests, BBQ food, plus FREE bouncers and face-painting for the kids. The event will feature LIVE police K-9 demonstrations and your chance to meet and take a photo with your favorite Glendale K-9 team.
The event takes place Saturday, October 15th between 11:00am and 4:00pm at Verdugo Park, 1621 Canada Blvd, Glendale. Admission is FREE. The annual City low-cost vaccination clinic will be taking place on this day as well. Dog and Cat vaccinations will be available for certain fees.

The Glendale Police Foundation is a volunteer-based organization in Glendale which lists among its activities, the full support and sponsorship of the police K-9 program. The average dog will be in service for 5 years and then needs to be replaced. Each dog will cost $50,000 in training and supplies over the service lifetime of the dog.
The Glendale Police Department K-9 Unit is funded solely through donations from the public. All costs of the program including training, equipment, food, and veterinary care are paid for through the generosity of the citizens and local business owners of our community.
