Creative FX's banner of support for Friends of Griffins
New Bromley-based charity, Friends of Griffins, has received the help of local signage and display specialists, Creative FX, who have designed a new logo and promotional material for them free of charge.
- (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2012 - London-based signage company Creative FX, has helped the launch of a new local children's charity, Friends of Griffins.
Friends of Griffins was set up in November by a group of volunteers, to provide support and raise money for the Griffins Centre, a specialist centre in Orpington for children with hearing or visual impairments.
Creative FX donated its services free of charge to the charity, designing a new logo and producing car stickers, as well as a two-metre vinyl banner to help Friends of Griffin promote its fund-raising events.
There are over 400 children in the Bromley borough with hearing and visual difficulties. The Griffins Centre provides specialist equipment and education, allowing pupils with a sensory impairment to have the best possible access to the curriculum and the life of their school.
"Most of us involved have children or relatives with visual or hearing impairments, so the charity is very close to our hearts," says Friends of Griffins Chairwoman, Joanne Price-Moxom. "As well as improving facilities at the centre, we hope to develop a support group for parents, and fund educational sessions and excursions during school holidays.
"There wasn't anything like this before, and it's a great way for some of us who no longer work or have children at the centre to continue to provide support," Joanne says.
Creative FX became involved with the charity after Friends of Griffins asked them to help design a banner for display at events attended or held by the charity, including fetes, bazaars and the upcoming pamper evening. "We were more than happy to lend a hand to such a great charity," says Creative FX Director, Sean Davis. "We hope the new logo and promotional material will help them to raise the awareness they need."
"We're a new charity and we can't do it without the help of people like Creative FX," says Joanne. "We hope more local businesses and people will get involved in our charity now."
