Creative Diagnostics Launches Human Coronaviruses Immunoassays to Support Infectious Disease Research
Creative Diagnostics recently expanded its new offerings with the launch of Human Coronaviruses Immunoassays.
- (1888PressRelease) March 09, 2021 - As a global leading supplier of raw materials, antibodies, and reagents for bio-technology industry, Creative Diagnostics recently expanded its new offerings with the launch of Human Coronaviruses Immunoassays to support scientists to better understand and accelerate infectious disease research, including SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV, HCoV 229E, HCoV NL63, HCoV OC43 and HCoV HKU1. These newly added ELISA kits and are intended for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Various ELISA kits specific for coronavirus antibody detection and vaccine research are available at Creative Diagnostics now, such as the SARS Coronavirus IgM ELISA Kit (DEIA1036), which is used for the qualitative determination of IgM class antibodies against SARS Coronavirus in Human serum or plasma. It is intended for diagnosing and monitoring of patients related to infection by SARS Coronavirus.
Another example is SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELISA Kit (DEIASL019). This SARS-CoV-2 IgG seroconversion assay is intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 specific antibodies of isotype IgG in human serum. This kit is provided for professional use only by clinical laboratories certified to perform moderate or high complexity tests. Negative results do not preclude acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. If acute infection is suspected, direct testing for SARS-CoV-2 with a molecular diagnostic is necessary. Results from antibody testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. Positive results may be due to past or present infection with non-SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strains, such as coronavirus HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E. Not for the screening of donated blood.
More products such as Human anti-HCoV 229E IgM ELISA Kit (DEIASL420) are also accessible, which is an immunoassay suitable for quantifying IgM antibody activity specific for S1 subunit of the spike protein of the HCoV 229E virus, etiologic agent for the COVID-19 respiratory disease, in serum or plasma of vaccinated, immunized and/or infected hosts.
"We are excited to offer such newly developed ELISA kits and antibodies products and related services to the growing community of customers requiring quality research tools to fight the spread of COVID-19. We'll focus on new product development and services, and extend our support offerings to researchers both locally and around the globe." said Dr. Jessica Waldorf, chief scientific officer of R&D department of Creative Diagnostics.
"We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with expert scientists and support them to continue their important work. It's our duty to offer improved access to researchers around the world who are working against COVID-19 and we hope these new offerings can make some contribution to the work of researchers and make a difference in the fight against this pandemic." said Prof. Mike Knuth, M.D., the chief scientific officer of R&D department of Creative Diagnostics.
