www.techtrail.in is the first-of-its-kind magazine that offers news, articles, interviews and reviews related to technology, technologists and tech-crazy people. The magazine in near future will prove itself as a one stop destination for everything and anything related to technology.
With veteran journalist Mr. Shriram Shinde as its editor, the magazine was launched at the hands of Mr. Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman of Praj Industries Ltd and President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MCCIA).
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhari said, "An initiative like TechTrail is the need of the hour. Young readers should be the main target of the publication and it should help create interest in technology and innovation." Stating that technology does not only mean Information Technology, he added that the field of technology had a wider scope and this magazine can reach out to readers at an international level.
Elaborating the concept of TechTrail, Shriram Shinde said, "It was high time, Pune had a publication dedicated exclusively to technology. Besides contributions from experienced media persons, the magazine features articles written by renowned technicians and experts from different fields of technology including information technology, manufacturing technology, agriculture and food technology. We are happy to have an advisory board comprising Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, DG, MCCIA, renowned IT expert Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, Dr. Rajendra Jagdale, Director General of Software Technology Park (STP), Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Executive Chairman 5FWorld, Mr. Vishwas Mahajan, President TIE-Pune, veteran media person Mr. Anand Agashe and Dr. Nandkumar Kakirde, Director of Vidyabhavan. Prominent names among the contributors of Techtrail include, Dr. Triveni Goswami-Mathur, Dileep Athawale, Dr. Shumita Mahajan, Rajlakshmi Iyengar, Neeta Thoma, Sekhar Seshan, Sandeep Kortikar and Devika Purohit."
Stressing on the need of initiative like TechTrail, Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, Director General of MCCIA said, "This innovative idea will youngsters and also those who are interested in technology. It will help create larger interest in basic science, technology and innovation". The magazine should provide a platform for R&S establishments to publish their work, this bridging the gap between academia and real R&D, he suggested.
