CPS Acquires Electroglas IP License From FormFactor Inc.
Complete Probe Solutions Inc. licenses Electroglas IP from FormFactor Inc. FormFactor purchased all the Electroglas intellectual property during the Electroglas Inc. bankruptcy process in late 2009.
- (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2010 - Gilroy, CA - Complete Probe Solutions today announced that it has acquired the license to manufacture and sell all prober products that are covered by Electroglas Intellectual Property rights. This establishes CPS as an authorized manufacturer and seller of Electroglas probers , upgrade kits and spare parts. It also gives CPS access to a worldwide base of suppliers , from which it is authorized to purchase genuine Electroglas components, assemblies and spares.
"I am very pleased with the agreement we now have in place with FormFactor". said CPS' president Steve Martinez, " It solidifies our position as a provider of Electroglas probers, and gives our customer base a much needed source for these tools. There is an installed base of close to 10,000 Electroglas probers currently in use worldwide and a strong demand for additional incremental capacity exists" according to Martinez.
All Electroglas IP was transferred to Form Factor (FFI), when it purchased the bulk of Electroglas Inc. in October of 2009. The IP license granted to CPS, includes Electroglas drawings, schematics and manufacturing methods, vendor lists and all current versions of prober operating software.
