Covington Who's Who Selects Yolanda P. Grant as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Grant, Chief Executive Officer of Y Grant Consultants, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Yolanda P. Grant's commitment to excellence in Consulting.
Grant, who holds a BA from Ashford University, and is currently pursuing her MBA, began doing grant writing in 1999 after trying to obtain one for her former church. After experiencing a growing need for grant writing and consulting services in her area she eventually she decided to start her own business to help others.
"My motto is 'Helping You Stay Focused'," Grant explained. "That is what my business is all about, taking the worry and stress from organizations of obtaining funds, while helping them stay focused on helping those in the community."
By helping all types of organizations obtain grants to further what they do, Grant writes 501-3, establishing them as non-profits. She also researches grants for those businesses that already know how to write grants but would prefer someone else to do the work for them. She assists those who would like to start an organization or business by writing business plans, and is currently working to help start LC3 businesses for those who are interested, which helps owners of for-profit businesses qualify for certain grants if they meet certain qualifications.
Having studied with Dr. Beverly Browning, a professional grant writer who has written many books on grant-writing, and with the help of online classes and workshops, Grant has been doing her homework in an effort to provide the best, quality work she can for her clients. She hopes to open a new office every three years in different locations within the state so she can better serve those in areas that could use her services.
Grant is a member of Small Business Entrepreneur Organization of Tarboro and National Grant Writing Association.
