- (1888PressRelease) April 28, 2014 - Yassin Elgarhy earned his MS in Textile Chemistry from Lyon, France, before acquiring his first position in his industry in 1978 in research and development for an international company in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Gaining a lot of industrial experience, Mr. Elgarhy became more and more interested in chemistry, so he began studying for his PhD in Wiltshire, England, earning his degree in polymer chemistry in 1994.
Now the executive vice-president, co-founder, and co-owner of his own organization, Tri-Tex Co., Inc., Mr. Elgarhy develops chemicals and auxiliaries for textile industries in the dyeing and finishing field. As a leader in the global chemical industry, their mission is to continuously support the growth of their customers through the cutting edge chemical and dye technologies. With eight laboratories in North America, they have been servicing the public for more than seventy years now.
"Because of my curiosity, my imagination, courage, and, of course, my desire to discover all there is to know about textile and polymer chemistry, I am where I am today," Mr. Elgarhy said about his longevity in the business. "I am still learning new things all the time."
Hoping to discover and develop new and safe products for humans and nature alike, Mr. Elgarhy's goal is to help create green products to replace the dangerous existing products of today. As a member of American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists and the Canadian Textile Association, he currently holds 20 American/Canadian and international patents, plus several patents-pending that introduce new technology and know-how for various industries, such as textile, carpet, pulp and paper, as well as construction.
