Leavitt, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University, is a licensed adjuster with over forty years experience in casualty insurance claims. Beginning as a claims representative trainee, he has also served as an assistant supervisor, supervisor, claims supervisor, senior litigation claims examiner, senior litigation claims examiner, casualty claims manager, divisional claims manager, casualty claims quality control specialist, vice-president and director of quality control and audit.
With expertise in investigation techniques, litigation management, personnel management, budgeting, mentoring, training, and quality assurance auditing, Leavitt has earned an abundance of knowledge in the field, enabling him to branch out on his own to provide consulting services for his clients. He currently works part-time as an independent consultant assisting insurance companies and third-party administrators with training, management, best claim practice audits, and reserve adequacy claim auditing.
"I found helping injured people when they need it the most, to be very rewarding, and later found it rewarding to mentor other claims personnel along the same path," Leavitt said.
Leavitt has been recognized throughout his career for excellence and quality performance. He is a member of the Society of the Charter Property Casualty Underwriters and Houston Claims Association. He also holds a Charter Property Casualty Underwriter designation through the American Institute.
