Covington Who's Who Selects Thomas H. Hamilton as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Santa Rosa, CA (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2015 - Thomas H. Hamilton, Retired Consulting Engineer of Thomas H. Hamilton P.E., has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Thomas H. Hamilton began his career as a process engineer at Texaco's Refinery in Wilmington, California. He then spent the next 19 years with the Products Manufacturing Division of Fluor Corporation in research and development, then as a supervisor of the Project Engineers and Contract Administrators, and finally as the assistant to the VP of sales. The following 14 years was spent working for the Power Division of Bechtel Corporation as a specialist on heat transfer equipment, cooling towers, air coolers, and other heat exchangers, which included a lot of optimization studies. Retiring in 1984, Mr. Hamilton went into business for himself as an independent Consulting Engineer and was awarded with a consulting agreement from Bechtel upon retirement.
"As a consultant engineer, most of the work was performed for power companies doing system studies to determine the best way to increase plant output or to determine why production was no longer up to design," Mr. Hamilton said, who is now fully retired at 91-years-young. "I also did bid evaluation and was an expert witness on deficient purchased equipment."
A BS Graduate in Chemical Engineering at California Institute of Technology, where he was awarded with two Honor Keys for non-academic contributions, he also holds a Professional Engineers License in California in Mechanical Engineering. An honorary life member of Cooling Technology Institute and a past member of AICHE and ASME, Mr. Hamilton now enjoys spending free time volunteering by playing the piano at a local retirement facility nearby as well as at Kaiser Hospital.
