Covington Who's Who Selects Sherri Lane as A VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Sherri Lane's commitment to excellence in Career Counseling.
Lane, who began working in her career counseling in 1994, started out in sales for Mary Kay Cosmetics as a sales advisor. After landing a job with a local technical school in counseling, she quickly learned the ins and outs of the position before being recruited by a bigger school as a senior advisor.
Since that time, Lane transitioned into an assistant director of admissions, where she trained other advisors on how to motivate and help students reach their career goals. She has worked with organizations that help students obtain funds for school ex-work force development and currently helps people obtain grants, financial aid, and scholarships to cover their tuition costs.
"It is great to be able to give back to people in traumatic situations," Lane said, noting that she was once in the same situation. "I spent the next seventeen years inspired to do the same for others through career training."
Lane would like to open a foundation that supports women obtain grants so that they can get the education and career training they are seeking, enabling them to support their families without fear of staying in abuse situations.
