Covington Who's Who Selects Sheila Long as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Becoming a Registered Nurse in 1995 through San Diego City College, Sheila Long later decided to transition into non-profit. Founding Mary Martha Ministries in 2003, the organization was designed to educate and redirect adults in the development and implementation of the functional family for the shaping of their futures. The ministry's primary goal is to help families be at peace with one another.
Overseeing daily operations of the organization for the past 12 years as CEO, Sheila Long offers community services that focus on abuse, counsels on various life issues, and offers food provisions to those in need. As a life skills coach, she conducts seminars and presentations online as well as in group and individual settings, conducts short-term crisis interventions, referral services to local support groups, and other services as needed.
"Mary Martha Ministries is family centered," Ms. Long said. "Using my background and knowledge of God to help families, I hope to serve our local communities as much as possible and make positive change in the world."
Active in domestic violence prevention and violence within the community, Ms. Long is a member of the Urban Cry LLC (Zion Antoni). A single mother of four, Ms. Long is also a writer and author who also spent time in radio and on television. She also served as an advisor for Urban Liberation for five years.
