Rutgers University graduate of Political Science and International Affairs Satin Van Cleef founded her organization in 2013, which was four years in the making.
Now creating new jewelry designs, developing new lip colors, making decisions on best platforms for advertising, overseeing the warehouse, shipping logistics, and customer service are all in a day's work for Ms. Van Cleef, but she couldn't be happier. This entrepreneur, who has an extensive background in field sales, has set the bar high, working diligently to make sure customers always have a pleasant experience.
"When you want to be recognized in sales you have to come up with innovative ways to get more than your competitor because it is always about the recognition at the national sales award meeting," Ms. Van Cleef said. "It is this take-charge attitude that led me to be able to build my own brand."
Inspired by marrying two of her favorite accessories, makeup and jewelry, Ms. Van Cleef continues to push herself to new heights. Working in corporate America just wasn't enough for her, she strived to find a greater sense of self. She hopes her business continues to thrive, and it is her biggest goal to not only hire employees that take initiative, but to also build a company that will someday be considered one of the top ten places for women to work.
