Wayne Allen, Group Leader with Mapi, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes S. Wayne Allen's commitment to excellence in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Research.
S. Wayne Allen, who holds an Associate's Degree in Business from Sullivan University, began his career in contracts in 1999 for a local HMO. He contracted with doctors, hospitals, clinics, and so forth to accept his insurance products for a member base in excess of 100,000 members.
Now working in his current position since 2008, Mr. Allen contracts with providers to conduct late phase research for several pharmaceutical companies. He has a staff of contract specialists that work with a large number of sponsors and providers and also manages reimbursement reports to ensure payments are made accurately based on the budget negotiated.
"The fact that what I do on a daily basis may not only help prolong someone's life but also make a huge difference in their quality of life inspires me on a daily basis," Mr. Allen said about the many rewards of working in his line of work.
Eventually, Mr. Allen would love to be in a position that would allow him to understand the true difference new drugs make in someone's life and their quality of life.
Mr. Allen is a current member with Model Agreements and Guidelines International.
