Covington Who's Who Selects Ruben Richard Arras as a Featured Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Ruben Richard Arras's commitment to excellence in Education and Transportation.
Arras, who holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, began working in the oil field in 1981 at Dowell Division of Dow Chemical USA in Bakersfield. During his time with the organization, he maintained and serviced the trucks, auxiliary engine, and trailers to keep the fleet in working order.
Now working for a local school district, Arras diagnoses problems for over one hundred forty-nine school busses and service vehicles. He also keeps up to date with numerous training programs to stay abreast of new and changing technology.
"My experience gives me growth and character," Arras said about his long career in the industry.
Arras is currently running for the 2013 election for Perris City Council so that he can work diligently for his community, help clarify vision for the council for the community, expand industries and new businesses, support jobs within the city, promote education, and get the community more involved in the needs of the homeless.
A current member of the CSEA and California Association of School Transportation, Arras served on the Perris Elementary School District as a governing board member from 1997-2007. He was named Transportation Employee of the Year from 2006-07 and is a certified compress natural gas technician and life insurance agent. He is a volunteer with School Bus Rodeo events, Special Olympics, and serves as a coordinator of church events, and as a chaplain at the Loma Linda University Hospital in Murrieta.
