Covington Who's Who Selects Roland Agorkle as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Roland Agorkle's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.
Agorkle, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Pre-Med from George Mason University, was inspired to teach early on. His desire to impart knowledge to others was something he truly enjoyed, and after college, he pursued teaching full-time.
Now teaching, mentoring students and other teachers, serving as a resource for low performing schools to tap into, conducting research, and attends routine faculty meetings, Agorkle also oversees the exchange program at Astar Education Institute, including one in Ghana, West Africa that he founded in honor
of his homeland.
"Do more listening than speaking," Agorkle advises. "I always looked up to people that were serious about making change and then using it to mentor myself to do even better than them."
Argorkle notes that even as a college student, he would correct his professors, who were in turn inspired, allowing him to lecture on their behalves on occasion.
After immigrating to the US at sixteen with the help of his father, Daniel Agorkle, a US citizen, the twenty-five year old is ready to take on more challenges. He has plans to earn an MD in the near future and pursue a career in medicine.
Agorkle earned a Phi Eta Sigma, Inc. award and an Evelyn P. Hess Award.
