The selection recognizes Richard Lawrence Guida's commitment to excellence in the Financial Services Industry.
Prior to beginning his career in banking in 1973, Richard Lawrence Guida served two tours in Vietnam as a combat Marine. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the US Marine Corps, he landed a job as a mortgage loan collector with a local New York bank. Through hard work, diligence, and dedication, Mr. Guida worked his way up the corporate ladder, landing a position as senior vice president for global core operations for one of the largest commercial banks in the world. Guida and Associates, Inc. was founded in November 2012.
As President and CEO of his firm, Mr. Guida does it all. Some days are filled with meetings with his senior managers to discuss various business initiatives, while others are consumed with phone calls to potential customers or is with clients' reviewing their business operations. No two days are the same. As a consultant to the banking industry, his hands-on experience is of great value to his customers, especially with all the upcoming recent changes in the financial services arena. His expertise span retail and commercial accounts, including but not limited to: loan workouts, loan servicing, sales, branch operations and sales, remote account opening, secured and unsecured lending, marketing, and vendor management (both on and off shore).
"It is my hope that I will be able to continue sharing the extensive knowledge I've accumulated throughout the years with others for as long as God allows me to do so," Mr. Guida said about his career. "I hope to also continue growing the business I've started so I can retire with the same lifestyle I have now."
Inspired greatly by his wife of forty years, Dianne, whom he met in kindergarten, his love and faith in God, and his son, Jeff, who is his pride and joy, Mr. Guida is thankful for all he has and every opportunity he's been given throughout his career in banking. In addition to numerous medals and citations received during his time in the military, he is also the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award through the Mortgage Bankers Association, was named Man of the Year through Burien Chamber of Commerce, and earned a 4th Degree Knight Award from the Knights of Columbus.
