Benjamin, Co-Owner, Graphic Artist, and Photographer of RaeCountry Design, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Rachel M. Benjamin's commitment to excellence in Graphic Design and Digital Photography.
Rachel M. Benjamin, who is studying graphic design and photography at Kankakee Community College, founded RaeCountry Design with boyfriend, Austin Koenig, in September of 2011. Specializing in equestrian photos, animals, and wildlife, her main focus is in photography services. However, she also does graphic design, drawing, and painting for her customers. With the help of her boyfriend, they keep track of revenue and advertizing through business cards, posters, and other outlets.
With an expected graduation date of May 2013, Rachel is very excited to get her business off the ground. She plans to continue working out of her home studio and build her clientele year over year.
"Equestrian Photographer Bob Langrish is where I get most of my inspiration," Rachel admits. "Bob has amazing ways of capturing every aspect of horses in his photography. In my photography, I try to have a similar aspect, but not only with horses, but also with nature and wildlife."
In 2009, one of Rachel's photos was published in Cutest Pets Around the Globe. She's also earned various other awards through the Iroquois County Fair every year since 2009.
