Covington Who's Who Selects Peter Condorelli as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
Peter Condorelli, Retired Process Engineer, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Peter Condorelli's commitment to excellence in Engineering.
- Binghamton, NY (1888PressRelease) May 09, 2014 - Peter Condorelli, who holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Technical College, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California-Irvine, a PhD in Chemical and Bioengineering, also from the University of California, began his career shortly after earning his BS at IIT Research Institute (IITRI) in Chicago, Illinois. There he gained valuable experience performing laboratory experiments, mathematical modeling, and writing technical reports. It was during his time at IIT that he also became the co-author of his first publication, 'In Situ Radio Frequency Heating Process for Decontamination of Soil', in the ACS Symposium Series in 1986.
During Mr. Condorelli's years at IITRI, he performed laboratory experiments, modeled the results of these experiments based upon accepted science and mathematics, and wrote unbiased technical reports to summarize the results. From 1988-2008, he worked for the University of California-Irvine (UCI) and Fluor Corporation, an engineering firm also located in Irvine. At UCI, he also performed laboratory experiments, in addition to mathematical modeling and preparation of technical reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals. At Fluor Corporation, he developed diagrams and specifications for chemical processing and assessed the feasibility of chemical manufacturing processes.
"My experience has endowed me with a sound background in applied science, as well as the ability to communicate and work with technical people," Mr. Condorelli said, who also taught several college engineering courses at UCI. "While teaching, I gained insight to effectively communicate with younger people who are just starting their careers."
Since 1988, Mr. Condorelli has become very much interested in physical fitness, and has since learned to teach group exercise classes. He has been certified as a Group Exercise Instructor since 1992, followed by certification as a Spinning Instructor in 2010 and Yoga Level 4 since 2012. He is currently pursuing his MEd in Mathematics from Cambridge College and plans to graduate in 2015 to teach science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics classes at the high school or college level. He also plans to teach yoga classes once he completes his teacher-training through YogaFit. He is a current member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the author/co-author of seven papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and currently has two patents in his field.
