Covington Who's Who Selects Patricia W. Davidson as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
Patricia W. Davidson, Watercolor Artist and Owner of Pat Davidson Studio, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Patricia W. Davidson's commitment to excellence in Art, Watercolor Painting, and Mixed Media.
- Sarasota-Bradenton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2013 - Patricia W. Davidson, who specializes in watercolor painting, visual, and graphic art, opened the doors to her studio in 1979. Having studied and graduated with an Associate's Degree from Centenary College, she further studied fashion illustration in East Orange, New Jersey before ultimately moving to Sarasota, Florida. Once in Florida, she studying watercolor for several years at the Hilton Leech Studio with nationally known instructors and was fortunate enough to be accepted into several juried shows in the area.
Ms. Davidson is the recipient of more than 35 awards in juried exhibitions, has taught and demonstrated at watercolor workshops in area art centers, and has taught adult and children's classes for ten years.
"It was a delightful experience to teach and it led to memberships in several art centers," Ms. Davidson said. "Opportunities to travel inspired my work and sales came easily through galleries and outdoor exhibitions."
Some of Ms. Davidson's signature memberships include the Florida Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society, International Society of Marine Painters, Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society, and as a fellow member with American Artists Professional League. She hopes to also acquire more professional memberships in national watercolor organizations and to publish her work in books and magazines.
Several of Ms. Davidson's art pieces have been chosen to travel worldwide in the US State Department program, Art in Embassies. Centenary College recently installed two large watercolor paintings in the Career Center on campus, both of which earned major awards in national exhibitions. Some of her other published works include: North Light Books "Splash 13" in 2012 by Rachel Rubin Wolf; Centenary College Alumni Magazine (two times); and the National League of American Pen Women in 2012 and 2013.
