The selection recognizes Patricia Janet Murphy's commitment to excellence in Historic Preservation, Healthcare, Dental Care and Health and Wellness Products Marketing.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2015 - Patricia Janet Murphy, Chief Executive Office and Owner of JL Tremain Enterprises, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Beginning her career in healthcare products and networking, Patricia Janet Murphy moved into the health coverage business in 2013. Finding people in need of health and dental coverage and teaching them the low cost plans provided, she offers business opportunities for those interested in becoming a representative. She can also be found selling various products to clients that wish to lose weight or stay healthy, and she sells all-natural household products that are environmentally friendly and passes on the information for others interested in selling their products, too.
Ms. Murphy partnered with two non-profits, New York Citiworks and Building Conservation International in 2010. Building Conservation International works to save older and potentially historic buildings from demolition by recreating new uses for them in Philadelphia to expand into New York City. Making the effort to find someone who can take over a particular building, fix it, and then rent or sell it upon completion, she also oversees a website where people from all over the country can list endangered buildings in their area to make the public aware that they are out there and in need of attention. Instead of tearing down buildings that have outlived their original use, Ms. Murphy believes new life can be given to these buildings by recreating new uses for them.
"I got involved in saving old, historic buildings because newer buildings don't have the same character or quality that old ones have," Ms. Murphy said. "I'm an artist and I appreciate the fine architectural details that older buildings have. When a building is torn down, future generations cannot see or experience the history behind them."
Hoping to continue her journey in saving endangered buildings, Ms. Murphy plans to start a foundation to raise money so grants can be given out to owners of churches and other old buildings in need of repair that cannot afford to make them on their own. She hopes to also create a school and courses for people interested in learning how to maintain their buildings so they won't be in need of repair down the road.
Ms. Murphy has become an entrepreneur in marketing health and wellness products, health and dental care, and several online networking businesses that will support various expenses, such as filmmaking documentaries of endangered buildings. The money earned from these businesses will cover costs of operating the non-profit, Building Conservation International, where she serves as CEO.
Ms. Murphy holds a BA in Liberal Arts, an MEd in Early Childhood, and is a certified elementary education teacher in New York. She's also an active member of New York State Unified Teachers and Landmark.
