Covington Who's Who Selects Pamela Welcome as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) August 19, 2012 - Pamela Welcome, Manager and Executive Assistant for Georgetown University Law Center, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Pamela Welcome's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.
Welcome, who holds a BS in Business Education and Computer Literacy from Strayer University, and has studied Executive Administration and Computer Science at Georgetown University, began working in her field in February of 1981.
As manager, Welcome oversees three full-time financial aid counselors and two part-time office assistants. She provides annual statistical data of merit scholarships, need based grants, and institutional and federal loans awarded to students by the Office of Financial Aid. Welcome also reviews financial aid awards evaluated by financial aid counselors and reviews staff for punctuality and attendance and approves time off requests and maintains the assistant dean's daily calendar.
"I have an inner yearning to use my God-given talents to do my best at all times," Welcome said about her career. "I try to remain flexible, reminding myself that there is not perfect world and that I must flow with the present, not long for the past."
Hoping to retire within the next four years but remain active within her community. Currently, she is a member of the Washington DC Homeless Shelter. She has earned numerous awards, including a Performance Award in 1985, an Excellence Award in 1994, and a Special Merit Award for Outstanding Service in 2006-07, all through Georgetown University.
