The selection recognizes Michelle Hollander's commitment to excellence in Business Development/Services.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2014 - Michelle Hollander, Business Developer for Club Etiquette, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Michelle Hollander's commitment to excellence in Business Development/Services.
Michelle Hollander, who attended the University of Houston, began her career as an account executive assistant with Merrill Lynch in 1973. She also served in various other capacities, including as a mental health advocate for children in the private sector for 15 years, as a business developer for a private grant with Harris County, and later as a business developer for her friend GiGi Lewis who also owns Club Etiquette, where Ms. Hollander now works.
Ms. Hollander has been working for Club Etiquette now for seven years. She oversees scheduling, actively seeking out business, and keeping up with all the administrative aspects that goes along with her title as business developer. Club Etiquette helps clients learn to feel comfortable with themselves in social situations, business settings, and a variety of daily activities. They are a travelling classroom that teaches etiquette to all age groups, provides lessons to ages 4 through adult on topics such as social graces, character development, and, of course, corporate business etiquette.
"People are so busy nowadays that communication skills have dropped. Technology is good, but can also be an impairment sometimes," Ms. Hollander said. "There is a reason why companies hire us in the first place. The generation over the last 10-15 years has limited conversation and social skills. They don't know how to sell their business or talk to someone face-to-face."
Ms. Hollander loves working as a contractor. She enjoys talking to people, interacting, and socializing. This position is a perfect fit for her personality and she couldn't imagine doing anything else. She also hopes that Club Etiquette will soon be recognized on a more national level for their superior services.
In addition to receiving numerous appreciation and service awards and certificates of achievement for her work, including a National Philanthropy Award for her work with Spring Branch Independent School District in 2002, Ms. Hollander has been a very active member of her community. She has volunteered on a Junior League Community Collaborations Council which educates the public about the abuses women and children have to deal with, currently serves on the State Bar of Texas Lawyers Grievance Committee for eight years, and has worked with ABC's of Hospice Care for Children, the Council on Alcohol and Drugs of Houston, and numerous organizations through Harris County, and others.
