- (1888PressRelease) May 23, 2013 - Michael Tyndall, Geology Manager at Metallica Minerals, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Michael Tyndall's commitment to excellence in Resource Management.
Michael Tyndall holds a BSc with honors in Geology from the University of Port Elizabeth and a GDE Diploma in Mining Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. He has been a registered Professional Natural Scientist since 2005 and has spent the past twenty-one years in the minerals exploration and mining industries.
Tyndall is currently developing, refining, managing, and continuously reviewing the geology and mining related activities for the nickel, cobalt, and scandium resources of Metallica Minerals. He also facilitates and develops strategy to manage the implementation of feasibility studies for their flagship project. In addition, he is in charge of near mine exploration activities, data collection, and mineral resource estimation and optimization.
"Geology gives me a platform to fulfill the inquiring mind and provides the opportunity for me to use this in a career beyond that of just a hobby," Tyndall said.
Tyndall hopes to someday become an expert in his field so that others can come to him in seek of professional advice. He would also like to become a stakeholder in the successful business in which he is partly responsible for. In 2003, his employer awarded him with an Annual Achievement Award.
