Marty A. Brounstein, the author and contributing author of nine books and counting, has spent the last three-and-a-half years, since the early fall of 2011, traveling the country doing speaking engagements related to his book, 'Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust'. He has spoken on this true inspirational story of courage and compassion in major cities like Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Philadelphia, in addition to his home base of the San Francisco Bay Area. Having completed over 320 events thus far, he has shared this unexpected journey and special story with audiences to rave reviews in a wide variety of venues: all over in locations like churches, synagogues, community centers, social service organizations, Rotary Clubs, bookstores, schools, universities, book clubs, a Holocaust museum, a history museum, professional conferences, workplaces, and in people's homes. He even gave a presentation in San Francisco for the Dutch Consulate and was the keynote speaker for two Holocaust Remembrance Day events in the Chicago Area in 2014.
Since 1991, Mr. Brounstein has been the owner of The Practical Solutions Group, a consulting firm serving a wide variety of clients on issues of leadership and organizational effectiveness. Mr. Brounstein's unexpected journey deals with his ninth book, 'Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust. It is an interfaith story of a Christian couple, Frans and Mien Wijnakker, who saved the lives of at least two dozen Jews in the Netherlands during World War II and the Holocaust - a story with a meaningful, personal connection as well. Efforts are underway to turn this story into a feature film.
This book takes Mr. Brounstein back to his early career as an educator when he taught history. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and History from the National College of Education and a Master's Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Oregon.
