Covington Who's Who Selects Louis E. Harris as a VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
SGM Retired Louis E. Harris, Commander of Chapter 813 Military Order of Purple Heart, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Louis E. Harris's commitment to excellence in Ministry.

Harris, who holds a Bachelor's in Abnormal Psychology from Maryland University, a Master's in Business Management from Army Health Service Command, a second Master's in Biblical Studies from Sure Foundation Theological Institute, and a PhD in Christian Education from Newburg Theological Bible College, was elected commander of Chapter 813 Military Order of Purple Heart of Corinth, Mississippi in May 2013.
Currently overseeing all aspects of the organization's operational procedures, including daily ministry operations, serving as an advanced instructor and small group facilitator, and specializing in neuropsychiatric therapy and psychology, Mr. Harris is thoroughly enjoying his new role.
"As the commander of such a prestigious chapter within such a large organization as MOPH, I'm promoting patriotism, helping keep the memories of our fallen and wounded warrior's memories alive with the sacrifice they made. Some gave some; some gave all," Mr. Harris said about serving in his new role for the organization.
Now a certified legal minister, Mr. Harris previously served 33 years in the Armed Forces, retiring as sergeant major as a chief medical non-commissioned officer, the highest enlisted rank of E-9. During his years in the US Army, he was also certified in quality control and as a race relations facilitator. He also earned a Purple Heart, a Combat Infantry Badge, is a five-time recipient of a Meritorious Medal, and recently earned a DAV Patriot of the Year Award in 2013.
Mr. Harris is a current and active member of the NAACP, American Legion, and VFW. The father of two and grandfather of six hopes to continue in his current role for several more years before retiring fully and travelling with his wife Dorothy.
