Covington Who's Who Selects Livia M. Aragon as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) August 21, 2015 - Livia M. Aragon, Administrative Assistant for Palm Beach State College, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Making the decision to go back to school after her current job had undergone major downsizing, Livia M. Aragon registered at Palm Beach State College for the 2009 fall semester, applying to also be a test proctor in the testing center that same November. At the time, she was the only Spanish speaking person in the department, which ended up working in her favor.
"My former boss gave me the opportunity to attend my classes in the morning and then work my shift from 1-8pm," Ms. Aragon recalled. "Moving to Florida in 1995, I vowed that I would go back to school and also find a position there, too. Having been on both sides of the fence as both a student and now an employee of the college has given me both perspectives."
As an Administrative Assistant for Palm Beach State College, Ms. Aragon serves as a bilingual Spanish/English speaking employee, welcoming and assisting those that come into her department. She takes minute meetings, assists in the preparation of electronic purchases, works with payroll, class scheduling data, and faculty credentialing documentation, as well as a host of other responsibilities. Her love of education serves as an inspiration for her, and she loves being in an environment that fosters continued education.
Hoping to someday pursue her master's degree and be able to teach college credit courses at Palm Beach State College, Ms. Aragon currently holds a BA in Business Administration, is a member of Women's Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County where, in 2014, she earned a $1,000 Academic Scholarship. She is also an active member of St. Luke's Church.
