Covington Who's Who Selects Lisette Martineau as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Lisette Martineau holds a Certificate in Theatre Arts from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor's Degree and a Bachelor of Education degree in Secondary Education from the University of Toronto in Theatre Arts, Media, and French. She is also a certified professional educator and school principal who founded her business seven years ago after a successful career as a public secondary school educator. Upon completion of her professional translation certificate she set up her translation enterprise, a natural development after having taught French for many years.
As a translator, Ms. Martineau writes someone else's ideas or messages into another language, putting words on paper for them. She transforms the essence of a written document into another language by preserving the integrity of the original text. In this role, she also translates websites, business documents, product descriptions, e-courses, training manuals, press releases, year-end reports, business presentations, and more.
"Being bilingual since an early age, I understand the nuances in both English and French," Ms. Martineau explained. "Because of this familiarity with the two languages, I can effectively translate idiomatic expressions and respect the subtleties of both languages."
Communicating with each client individually, Ms. Martineau is always honest in her approach. She works quickly and efficiently every time and respects all client deadlines. She has gained knowledge in various fields and topics, including women's world banking, workforce planning and immigration, capital plans, software manuals, websites, warranties, disclaimers, security, safety and health in the workplace, insurance, plumbing, user's manuals for household products, toys, hunting and fishing gear, and others.
Hoping to continue to grow her business by teaming up with local businesses, refine her translations, and continue learning as much as she can for as long as she can, Ms. Martineau is an active member of Brant Chamber of Commerce and Brant Women's Networking Group.
Previously, Ms. Martineau trained and became a volunteer auxiliary police officer, where she was promoted to acting staff sergeant, volunteering for a total of approximately 800 hours per year while working as a full-time teacher and heading a high school French Immersion Department.
