Covington Who's Who Selects Liljana Parastatidis as a VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
Liljana Parastatidis, General Manager for Sir John's Restaurant, has been selected as a VIP Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Liljana Parastatidis's commitment to excellence in Food and Hospitality.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) November 08, 2013 - Liljana Parastatidis, who began working in her field at the age of 16 for an Italian Ice business as a cart server, eventually rented one herself. She quickly told her parents about her good fortune soon her family owned and operated 25 Italian Ice carts that served at various flea markets like the Englishtown Auction in New Jersey and other area venues.
Since that time, Ms. Parastatidis has worked in every restaurant atmosphere from diners to fine dining establishments. She has been working at her current restaurant, Sir John's for the past 17 years as their general manager. Overseeing all aspects of the business from the front of the house to the back, Ms. Parastatidis runs the entire restaurant.
Ms. Parastatidis previously attended college to pursue a career in nursing. However, she quickly realized that the healthcare field was not her passion. She then worked at Amalgamated Bank in New York for three years before getting married and starting a family. She and her family moved to New Jersey where she ultimately began her career in hospitality.
Now owned by her two kids and two partners, Sir John's Restaurant will be having a grand opening on November 21, 2013, and the restaurant will be renamed LAGO.
"Nothing pleases me more now that I can work day and night and know it is worth all my effort," Ms. Parastatidis said about working for the now family business.
Located on the banks of Ferington Lake at 230 Washington Place in North Brunswick, New Jersey, they have a full dining room and banquet rooms that overlook Farington Lake. They do daily dining plus weddings and corporate functions that can accommodate anywhere from 15 to 150 patrons.
