Covington Who's Who Selects Larry Darnell Twyman Sr. as a Professional Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
Larry Darnell Twyman Sr., Transportation Specialist for United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Larry Darnell Twyman's commitment to excellence in Transportation and Government.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) March 01, 2014 - Larry Darnell Twyman, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Wilberforce University since 1976 and a Master's Degree in Business Management from Argosy University since 2012, first got started working for the US Government Printing Office (USGPO) in Washington, DC, ten years ago as a traffic management specialist in Washington, DC's Shipping Branch. After ten years, however, he relocated to the USAID as a transportation specialist, which is the capacity of which he now serves.
In his role, Mr. Twyman resolves shipping problems encountered by agency employees shipping household goods, obtains passports for agency employees and other passport issues, and updates agency forms and the Travel and transportation website with new and revised information regarding travel and transportation for agency employees.
"My inspiration stems from my work with my former division chief, Mr. Glassco Johnson, while employed with the USGPO," Mr. Twyman said, who also noted on-the-job training and format classes he's taken to enhance job performance.
With the hopes of someday opening his own business and also venturing into real estate by buying an apartment building of which he would manage and rent out, Mr. Twyman is eager about his future ventures and career. Throughout his career in transportation, he has received several job performance awards and certificates of appreciation, including an Outstanding Service Award for working with the District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics and a Certification of Appreciation, also from the District of Columbia Board of Elections.
Mr. Twyman is also involved in church ministry and serves in the position as assistant pastor of Restoration Worship Center in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. He also services as the senior pastor of the Restoration Remnant Ministries of Washington, DC, where he works in ministry to restore those individuals that the mainstream ministries have discarded or considered them not to fit into their ministries.
