Covington Who's Who Selects Kathleen "Kazz" Workizer as a VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
The selection recognizes Kathleen "Kazz" Workizer's commitment to excellence in Event Management and Promotions.
- Tucson, AZ (1888PressRelease) April 25, 2015 - Kathleen "Kazz" Workizer, Founder of Creative Artist Foundation of North America, has been selected as a VIP Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Beginning her career in 1969, Kathleen Workizer learned the ins and outs of marketing, evaluations, writing, communications, grant writing for start-up non-profits, and key organization skills. Boasting over 50 years of experience in art shows as an assistant to an artist, artist herself and promoter, she has used her marketing skills to found her own organization in 2015, Creative Artist Foundation of North America. The newly formed non-profit is for all creative artists and is run by artists and patrons. Free peer evaluation is offered to any requesting artist.
"The decline in public art education and decline in quality artists and attendees at arts and craft fairs and street fairs is why I do what I do," Ms. Workizer said. "I want master level artists and craftsmen to be able to share their experiences with the younger generation, young artists to not have to work two jobs to support their families, and retired senior artists, street performers, and craftspeople able to continue doing what they love. I also want interested potential artists to have valid information and guidance to help them be successful."
One of Ms. Workizer's hopes is that she can travel to shows with education programs, offer mini-loans and group insurance programs to creative artists, educate local governments and organizations on how to run a successful art show in their communities, and research and develop better sales events and/or venues for creative artists that attracts a buying clientele and reflects well on the art profession and the organizations offering the events.
Ms. Workizer is the former founding president of the Arizona Watchable Wildlife Association in cooperation with the Arizona Office of Tourism. She traveled with a display of Arizona wildlife tourism opportunities to 21 nature festivals and conferences each year. She served as president and traveled for the organization for five years. She is also a member of Elgin Community Club and Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, is a sustaining member of the University of Arizona's KUAT public radio and television stations and is a former board member of Patagonia Area Business Association. Ms. Workizer holds an AA in Art and Business from the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
