Karen A. Koyutis, who holds an MS in Information Systems and an MBA, both from Southern New Hampshire University, and is a certified project management professional, began her career in the early 1990's with Lotus Development Corporation.
Now an integrated master scheduler, Ms. Koyutis tracks and schedules events and tasks to completing end products, which includes employee time and work. It requires conversations with the team or the person who is working the task and also requires that she understand the process so she can communicate to others the slips or changes in the project or program.
"Project management is my niche and I never became bored as a new project or program came up," Ms. Koyutis said. "I have a habit of fully engaging in my work and I invest myself and truly believe in the project and programs that I work on. Plan the work, work the plan; this helps every time."
With an end goal of always doing the best job she can for the company, while also seeing her coworkers happy knowing that she played a part in their success, Ms. Koyutis hopes to maintain her solid work ethic for years to come. A member of Project Management Institute's Bay Chapter, she has also be recognized through her company for both a small and big team in the same quarter, a recognition that she is very proud of.
