Devore, who holds a BS in Elementary Education and Special Education from Pennsylvania State University and an MA in Reading from Mansfield University, spent 21 ½ years in education. After officially retiring in 2008, she decided start selling on eBay, making her first sale in April 2012.
As owner of her own store, PopByPetSupply.com, Ms. Devore sells her products internationally. She does all of the ordering and selling of products herself, and is responsible for downloading all products and descriptions, which keeps her websites current. Her stores sells products that include aquariums, cat and dog supplies, chicken houses, rabbit hutches, bird cages, and other small animal products. Her former experience as a certified programmer is of great value to her today, and she always willing to learn new technology and everything that online retail has to offer.
"I am patient and always ready to learn new things on my computer," Ms. Devore said. "I have always had pets and I love to cuddle with them, especially in the morning when I am having a cup of coffee."
Hoping to become a successful e-commerce professional and a licensed Accunect Practitioner, which is a personal that uses energy to heal themselves and others, Ms. Devore is passionate about life and the many opportunities that are out there. Notably, she was honored with the Woman of the Year award through Pennsylvania State University where she has established a scholarship in her son's name and it is awarded annually. She was named Teacher of the Month by The Rotary Club of Corning, New York.
Ms. Devore earned her teaching degrees in 1974 by often taking her young son to class with her. She worked for the United Cerebral Palsy Center in Apollo, Pennsylvania, as a teacher before becoming their executive director. She then worked for another social service agency until her son's passing. Due to grief, Ms. Devore decided to relocate and landed a teaching job with the Corning Painted Post Area School District, where she spent the remainder of her teaching years.
