Covington Who's Who Selects Jody Hyun-Agustsson as a Professional Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) January 15, 2015 - Jody Hyun-Agustsson, Studio Artist, has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Jody Hyun-Agustsson's commitment to excellence in Arts and Entertainment.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Jody Hyun-Agustsson earned an AA in Art and Art History at Santa Monica College, followed by a BA in Art and Art History at Loyola Marymount University, and an MA of Fine Arts at California State University-Long Beach, during which time she presented a Master of Arts Exhibition, titled 'Interior Abstractions', consisting of 14 drawings in May 1981. Since that time, she has exhibited her drawings locally, nationally, and internationally. The daughter of parents who were artists and musicians, she has explored a lifelong career in art, drawing, and painting that has resulted in a joyous experience and lifetime of being able to master her craft.
Recently, Ms. Hyun-Agustsson retired from her full-time career as a special education educator. Since her retirement, she has been specializing in drawing and painting and she hopes to soon feature in area exhibits once again. She is also putting together a two-part catalog that she hopes to have published, which will feature all of her work with photos and notes on each piece.
"My art catalog is a diary of my life's involvement and commitment to art and represents the growth, as well as changes, of my life," Ms. Hyun-Agustsson said.
Ms. Hyun-Agustsson's artwork has been featured in various exhibits dating back to 1981 where she first displayed her Master of Arts Exhibition at the California State University Graduate Center. She has since held exhibitions at the Twerenbold Gallery Exhibition in Luzern, Switzerland, at the Joslyn Center of the Arts in Torrance, California, at the 30th Annual Chautauqua National Exhibition of American Art in New York, and at the Gallery Ruth Mentha Exhibition in Muri, Switzerland, to name a few. Her creations yield to an abstract world of empathetic forms.
