Covington Who's Who Selects Jasmine Sharné Bogard as a Professional of the Year Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Oklahoma City, OK (1888PressRelease) January 05, 2014 - Jasmine Sharné Bogard, Air Weapons Officer with the US Air Force, has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Jasmine Sharné Bogard's commitment to excellence in government and military defense.
Jasmine Sharné Bogard, who holds an AA in Education from Austin Community College and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Texas, was commissioned into the US Air Force in 2011 as first lieutenant into the Air Battle Manager career field. After moving to Panama City, Florida to begin her Air Battle Manager Undergraduate Training, she then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in September 2012 to complete her Initial Qualification Training where she became fully qualified as an air weapons officer.
Now providing command and control to military assets as an air weapons officer, Ms. Bogard communicates via data links and voice mainly to fighters, bombers, and tankers in order to gain and maintain air superiority and to defend and protect both military and civilian resources.
"I was blessed to have been raised in a community where education, independence, and critical thinking was valued," Ms. Bogard said. "The spiritual, educational, emotional, and professional grooming I have received has been invaluable to my successes."
Hoping to focus her future on becoming a liaison with other cultures and to utilize her language and cultural training, Ms. Bogard would also like to work with orphans and at-risk children both in her local community and abroad.
Ms. Bogard is a member of Texas Executives and Frontline Church. She is the recipient of a 2012 YUKLA award through the US Air Force and several academic accolades.
