She has since graduated, and has spent more than 16 years in healthcare insurance.
Now a mandate analyst, Jacquelyn C. Jackson works with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement structures and payer collection analysis. She has extensive data analysis and data migration experience, including database development. She oversees state and federal legislations and regulation requirements compliance by assisting the business in coordination and/or communicating activity. She also provides executive and management level reporting and operational support for portfolios and projects.
"Being raised in a single-parent home, impoverished, and underprivileged to opportunities available for advancement, I thought that achieving my goals were absolutely impossible," Ms. Jackson said. "Thus, as a young girl growing up, I always wanted to be an influential individual to make a difference. That included having a professional career and being a positive female influence in the community inspire and invoke change."
Hoping to continue partnering with organizations whose mission is to empower women to be role models within their communities or change, as a motivational and inspirational speaker, Ms. Jackson wants to be known as a trailblazer and global leader.
A member of National Honors Society, Women's Campaign International, and Toastmasters International, Ms. Jackson serves as the Women's Campaign International advocacy coach for the GALS leadership program and was a program participant who was recognized for her efforts with the Bill Clinton School to Work Opportunities Act of 1994. She also received a recognition plaque from Toastmasters International as a public speaking contestant winner.
