The selection recognizes J. Tracy Cass's commitment to excellence in Private Investigations.
- Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) August 23, 2014 - J. Tracy Cass, President of Cass Investigations, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
J. Tracy Cass spent 22 years working for the New York State Police. Retiring in 2012, she founded Cass Investigations in April 2013. She became licensed by the New York Department of State, fully bonded, and also holds her NYS Armed Security Guard License for personal protection details.
Conducting legal investigations for criminal defense, family court, and civil court cases, Ms. Cass's duties include conducting interviews and taking depositions, surveillance, gathering evidence, and consulting on various types of cases, as well as providing courtroom testimony on the actions that were taken during each investigation. She also provides protection for private individuals who are involved in threatening situations.
Serving for the New York State Police from 1990-2012, Ms. Cass has held a number of positions that prepared her for a second career as a private investigator. She worked as a road patrol officer, an undercover narcotics officer, an undercover surveillance team member, a uniform sergeant, and an investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
"The positions I held prepared me on how to gather information and build legally sound cases through a multitude of resources," Ms. Cass said, who followed in her father's footsteps of also serving as a police officer for 26 years before working for a private investigative firm in Syracuse, New York. "It also prepared me on how to talk to people who have no reason to talk to you. Being a private investigator is not far removed from being a police officer."
Hoping to see Cass Investigations become a well-respected private investigative agency in the Rochester, New York and surrounding areas, Ms. Cass plans to continue working hard to build up her business to take on additional investigators who will serve the community as hard and as passionately as she does.
Ms. Cass is a member of the National Organization of Professional Women. She has also received multiple letters of commendation for outstanding policing throughout her career and was named Investigator of the Year in Ontario County in 2003.
