Specializing in foreclosures, multifamily and mixed use condominium developments, real estate transactions, and secured finance, Helen Rees began her career focusing on property litigation in 1989 for a mid-size international law firm in the city of London, UK. She handled private client litigation, corporate clients, and a Crown corporation. Rees was also a member of a legal team handling the international Channel Tunnel arbitration.
Having practiced in Calgary for the past nine years, her firm has recently expanded to become a full service law firm with offices in south Calgary, north Calgary, and Edmonton. In addition to its specialization in Property and Corporate Commercial Law, Masuch Albert, LLP now also handle oil and gas, personal and corporate taxation and tax planning transactions, civil litigation, employment law, and private client work in the areas of wills, administration of estates, probate, matrimonial, landlord and tenant law, and crime.

Rees serves as a speaker/contributor to Legal Education Seminar for Alberta lawyers. She is married with two daughters, and also lives on and maintains a horse ranch.
